Pumpkin has so many benefits for skin. It contains vitamins and nutrients that can give you beautiful, healthy, soft and bright skin. Pumpkin has exfoliating properties, it removes dead skin cells off the surface of your skin. Pumpkins also contain beta carotene, proteins, and antioxidants that protect against free radical damage.
Pumpkin facial mask is great for acne prone and aging skins. The molecular structure of pumpkin is small and can penetrate deeper into the skin when used topically.
There are a few different recipes for creating a pumpkin facial masks.
Honey Pumpkin Facial Mask
Mix a few tablespoons of pureed pumpkin with 1 whipped egg white, 1 tablespoon plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon honey. Apply to entire face, avoiding the eye area, and leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing. You would give your skin a good dose of vitamins and get soft and smooth skin.
Pumpkin Facial Scrub
Mix a few tablespoons of cooked and mashed (or canned) pumpkin with 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of ground oatmeal. Apply on face and wash off after 20 minutes. This mask is good for exfoliating so you can go ahead and massage your face when applying it.
